Taking into account specific character of work of the Emergency Ministry rescue units, as well as large-scale enterprises of national economy with their need for safeguarding, the fire fighting equipment manufacturer “Pirena” advertises for sale the whole gamut of special suits and protection equipment ensuring safety of people during emergency actions. 

The enterprise “Pirena” affiliated with the Holding company “Mriya-Invest” (Severodonetsk) has been working successfully since 2000. At present it ranks among the leaders in the safety market of Ukraine and CIS countries.

Until 2000, there were no domestic enterprises tending to take integrated approach to research-and-development activities and production of high-technology protective equipment. It was at this time that the enterprises “Index”, “Mriya-NT” and “Pirena” being a part of the Holding company “Mriya-Invest” (which is located in the town of Severodonetsk, Lugansk region) combined their efforts and scientific potential and began to design and manufacture protective suits intended for different purposes and enter them into the market. Today these enterprises lead the way in their area of specialization; and the Fire-fighting Equipment Manufacturer “Pirena”, in particular, is a supplier of a world-class fire-protection outfit intended for search-and-rescue operations.

In 2002 the first articles of Ukrainian manufacture appeared – the firm “Pirena” introduced in the market a fire fighter helmet which proved to be a durable, heat-resistant, fireproof and reliable defender. The fire fighter helmet “KP-10” developed in June 2010, possesses still better qualities. It is made of modified flame resistant self-extinguishing and shockproof forms of plastic and by its technical characteristics is not inferior to the products manufactured by German, Croatian, or Polish companies.

The fire fighter clothing “Mriya” made of fabric with polymer overlay is able to protect firemen from heat flows, flame emission or possible oil spillages. It proved itself to be a high performance product when working in extreme conditions. In 2009 a team of scientists and technicians developed and started up full-scale production of the fire fighter protective outfit “Phoenix” which replaced the suit “Mriya”. Fire fighter’s protective clothing “Phoenix” is manufactured on special order. The suit “Phoenix” made of a Dutch cloth “TEN CATE PROTECT” has enhanced fire-resistant qualities.

The heat-proofing suit “Index –1200” was long being awaited by professionals. The fact is that in the event of heavy fire at petrol refineries, oil storage tanks, oil gushers and gas blowouts, where temperatures at the epicenter of fire exceed 10 000°C, the main problem is to eliminate the hotbed of fire. So, when it’s necessary to enter into the zone of fire this protective suit proves to be indispensable. “Index–1200” is reusable clothing, withstanding the ambient temperature of 1200°C for as long as 5 minutes.  It is noteworthy, that the suit is 1.5 times lighter in weight, and 2.5 times less expensive than the similar products of foreign manufacture. In some respect it is unique - there is no identical product in the world.

Special waterproof and heat-shielding suit with positive buoyancy components “Aqua-TP” is designed in such a way that it precludes the full immersion of man into water above the chest line. It is indispensable when conducting search-and-rescue work during raging floods, ice drifts or in case of water mains and sewerage systems crash.

Severodonetsk technicians have always been notable for taking the initiative, approaching the subject with an open mind, and looking for innovative ways to solve complex problems within a short space of time. For instance, as far back as in 2001 they succeeded in finding formula for a biologically soft foaming agent, which was called “Snezhok-1”, they also managed to design a process and put the item into production.

Our key customers are big businesses in chemical, petrochemical, oil and gas, machine building, and food industries. The latest foam concentrate called “Pirena” has been the result of research study of advanced manufacturing sciences. It should be added that this foam concentrate is the only one in Ukraine that holds a toxicological-hygienic assessment certificate.

“Pirena” having freezing temperatures -10°C and - 20°C can be used both as general purpose foam concentrate and as a former of foam-cushion support in the event of aircraft emergency landing.

The Fire-fighting Equipment Manufacturer “Pirena” has been supplying the market with effective high-quality protective equipment intended for work in emergencies. The enterprise sells its products to the near abroad and other countries of the world.

For instance, a large lot of foam concentrate “Snezhok-1” and protective clothing “Mriya” has been sold to the Ministry of Defense of Turkmenistan. Many of the CIS-countries are familiar with modifications of the chemicals-proofing suit “Riatuvalnik”. The waterproof and oil-resistant suits “Aqua”, “Aqua-N”, “Aqua-TP” have been manufactured and aimed at business users in Russia, Kazakhstan, Moldova; a set of fire fighter safety helmets “Pirena” has been sold to Georgia. A large quantity of the chemicals-proofing suits “Riatuvalnik” has been sent to Benin (West Africa).

The protective suit “Index – 1200” took the title of “The best engineering solution” at the II International product-oriented exhibition “Fire safety” which was held in Moscow. The heat and gas-shielding suit “Index – IK” won the nomination “The best product for fire brigades and emergency search teams”. Year after year the general purpose foam concentrates win first places in All-Ukrainian contest “The best domestic products”.
